ABOUT US
FloraSearch was established in 2002 by Colin and Suzanne Bower.
It has conducted flora assessments on many projects of State significance, mainly in the mining industry, as detailed below. FloraSearch usually works as a subcontractor to managing consultants preparing Environmental Impact Statements for project owners. In addition to EIS flora surveys, FloraSearch has also undertaken: surveys of flora on crown lands to assess their conservation value vegetation monitoring in rehabilitation areas monitoring of natural regeneration after hazard reduction burning regional searches for threatened species research on pollination of threatened plant species. FloraSearch conducts its surveys and research to the highest industry standards to meet the requirements of regulatory authorities and abides by the code of ethics of the Ecological Consultants Association of New South Wales.

FloraSearch botanists are experienced in the flora of the heaths, wet and dry sclerophyll forests of the NSW coast and tablelands, and the inland woodlands, shrublands and grasslands.
