Fire affected Eucalyptus parramattensis
subsp. decadens, Kurri Kurri, NSW

Foliage regeneration from
epicormic buds, Eucalyptus parramattensis subsp. decadens,
Kurri Kurri, NSW
FloraSearch is monitoring
recovery of the threatened Kurri Sand Swamp Woodland community following
hazard reduction burning in the buffer zone of the Hydro Aluminium
smelter at Kurri Kurri, NSW. Kurri Sand Swamp Woodland supports several
threatened plant species including Eucalyptus parramattensis
subsp. decadens shown above.

Using on ground GPS
readings, FloraSearch has accurately mapped the boundaries of remnants
of the Warkworth Sands Endangered Ecological Community (above) on privately owned land in the NSW Hunter Valley.
